MEADOWBROOK BAPTIST CHURCH
STATEMENT OF VALUES
We Value Prayer
We believe God desires His people to pray and that He hears and answers prayer. Ministry is a battleground that needs to be constantly reinforced through prayer. Thus, we rely on prayer for all our ministries and activities in their conception, planning, and execution.
We Value Strong Families
We believe in the development and nurture of the family.
We Value Bible-Centered Preaching/Teaching
We believe the Bible is timeless, trustworthy, and relevant to the common needs of all people. We further believe the Bible is the catalyst for transforming individual lives and equipping God’s people to follow Christ in every area of life.
We Value Creativity and Innovation
We believe our message is timeless but our methods must be evaluated and sometimes altered to fit new conditions. We are more concerned with effectiveness than tradition. Thus, creativity, flexibility, innovation, and adaptability to those we serve are encouraged.
We Value a Strong Music Ministry
We believe music enhances our worship and enables us to adore, praise, and express our gratitude to our Lord.
We Value Attractive Facilities
We believe the meeting place of God’s people should be kept safe, attractive and pleasant.
We Value Financial Responsibility
We believe ministry takes money. Giving is one of the most tangible expressions of our faith. Each member is encouraged to be generous and sacrificial in their giving with confidence that the church will practice ethical, moral, accounting reports and practices.
We Value People
We believe all people matter to God and ought to matter to the church. We want all folks attending our services to be comfortable regardless of race, creed, dress or spiritual condition. We especially desire that visitors be welcomed.
We Value Lay Ministry
We believe in a team model for ministry and organization that equips and empowers every family, member, and leader. We further believe every Christian possesses spiritual gifts that need to be discovered, developed, and released. Therefore, as much as is possible to ministry of our church will be placed in the hands of non-vocational workers. Leadership will provide training opportunities and practices which encourage lay initiative, leadership, responsibility, and authority in the various ministries of the church.
We Value Godly Servant Leadership
We believe the primary responsibility of the Pastor and Staff in the local church is to “Prepare God’s people for works of service.”(Ephesians 4:12)
We Value Fellowship and a sense of Community
We believe in healthy relationships with God and each other. We encourage each member to always be cultivating a Christ-like, loving, and caring atmosphere within the body.
